Clarks age and Powers ?

Pa' kent is unsure about Clark's age and power because Clark isn't really their baby. Pa' found Clark inside a rocket with out a single scratch on him. Pa' knows Clark isn't like all other boys, he knows Clark has powers that are beyond normal human understandings. The fact that Clark has these powers worries Pa' because he doesn't know how Clark is going to use his powers. Pa' alsp fears how people will react to superman and his ability to do things others can't.

If Mayra was Superwoman (;

As superwoman I'd like to have the ability to not age as fast as others. I dont want to age as fast as other because I want to be young for as long as I can and be able to see the world  transform and see technology and science grow. In addition I would be able to meet new people and have a long life that also means I would have a lot of adventures. Although not aging as fast as others can be fun it can also be horrible to live like that. For example if I age slower than others i would have to see the people I love the most die before me which means I would probably end up alone for a while. Also I would probably have to deal with the fact that people around me are all going to leave me alone.

Five paragraph essay

The Witch and The Wolverine are two interesting comic books that have many similarities and many differences. The violent action in both novels portrays a good imaginary picture of how a teenager and a grown man use two different types of powers to protect themselves and the ones they love. The way both authors use color to show the mood of the scene help figure out what might happen next and how much blood is being drawn. The shadows drawn on each character shows the journey the characters are both going through, the journeys are full of both main characters getting attacked by villains. Also the panels help you see exactly when an important event is happening, or the best part of the comic books.

The Witch portrays much violence and shows a new side to witches and how their world and how their powers work. The way the author constructs the panels for Witch is truly cool, The panels are able to show how Kailey's familiar Riley talks to her inside of her head. Also she gets a double sided panel because she is two different people at one time, she just doesn't realize it until she unleashes her inner black cat. The Wolverine is able to show that although he speaks about himself as a guy who has no mercy when it comes down to the woman he loves he will do anything to try and protect her. Although in both these novels the main characters try to do good in other peoples eyes they are not normal. The difference in both novels would be how their journeys begin and how they end. In Kailey's journey she begins not knowing who she really is and as the novel progresses she finds out shes a witch. In one of the panels the author shows how Kailey wakes up telling herself it was only a nightmare and shes in the brightness of her kitchen and all of a sudden a dark shadow steps in front of her and all Kailey does is looks in a very shocked manner. The panel for wolverine shows when wolverine first comes to encounter Mariko and her husband walks in and with out mercy wolverine claws come out and hes ready to attack him. The author makes this panel larger than the rest to show how much of a fighter wolverine is.

The author for Witch shows a great variety of color to show feelings, action, and big moments. For example in one of the panels Kailey is going back home with her friend, and her friend is drunk and Kailey goes ahead and looks at a guy and a girl arguing the guys is about to attack the girl and Kailey steps in and goes and tells the guy to stop. At that moment the whole alley turns pitch black. The only thing your able to see is Kailey on the floor and the guy ready to hit her. The fact that the whole room turns a dark color represents that something bad is going to happen at the moment. In addition in one scene the sun is rising and Kailey is sitting outside watching it thinking, and the surrounding gets very bright almost as though something positive was about to happen.  The author uses a yellowish orangeish color to go ahead and be over Kailey's body which make Kailey smile and you know her smiling is a good thing. In the wolverine the wolverine is in a dark alley and all of a sudden a bunch of guys come, with out hesitating the wolverine attacks and the author changes the whole room black. The only white you see is the dead guys bodies. The colors do help me figure out when a good or bad thing is going to happen.

Shadows in comic books are very common. The way Riley is drawn as Kaileys shadows

wolverine

Wolverine is a half human half wolf. He is a very violent person that doesn't have any trouble going and killing others. He has no mercy for others and destroys almost anything or anyone that's in his way. For example in the beginning of the book hes in a bears cave and all of a sudden he begins attacking the bear and begins to slice it limb from limb. Although wolverine has a very violent side when it comes down to the woman he loves he gets very sensitive and peaceful about her. For instance when he begins to see that Mariko isn't responding he goes off to Japan and tries to find her. As hes on the plane hes looking at all the letters and looking at a picture of her and speaks about how much he loves her.

Witch

Witch is a story full of shocking surprises, Witch is not your typical story that you thought it would be. In the beginning I thought Kylie was your typical crazy tomboy trying to figure herself out. Kylie seemed like a nobody that didn't have friends and her life was a complete drag. The first scene to surprise me completely was when Kylie first summons Riley to attack that guy when he had first thrown her onto the floor and was getting ready to beat her up. This scene really shocked me because I thought Kylie was crazy and would just talk to herself, but when the voice inside her said " let me out " I was really shocked. I was shocked because when this voice inside her head showed itself it looked like a monster that was being unleashed. Riley looked like a monster you only see in your nightmares so for Kylie to have Rylie such a scary looking monster as her familiar was really shocking because I expected a girl looking familiar. Another scene that surprised me was when Kylie and Riley were in the roof and all of a sudden Aaron comes with his familiar Lucy and for the first time Kylie finds out she is a witch. This surprised me because now I learned that their was a world full of witches and familiars.

Two reasons these scenes are similar is because both these scenes show that Riley doesn't really know herself fully. In the first scene she doesn't realize who she is speaking to inside her head she just thinks shes plain crazy. She doesn't think Riley is an imaginary friend or her conscious. Kylie just thinks she has problems and that's why she has no friends. In the other scene she doesn't even fully realize shes a witch until Riley tells her who she is and how they have to stick together and the Aaron confirms this. Both these scenes were able to show that Kylie doesn't know much about herself, but she is learning about who she is and whee she came form thanks to her familiar and Aaron. A reason both these scenes are different is because in one scene Kylie finds out who she sorta is and what her powers are capable of doing. In the other scene Kylie is just told by Aaron who she is and therefore in one scene she learns her powers and in the next she is told about he history of how her power came to be.

Imaginary buddy :)

An imaginary friend is something you create in your head, its almost like a conscious, some little voice in your head that tells you right from wrong. An imaginary friend is a friend or anything you can only see because your the one that creates this buddy, so only you know exactly what it looks like. A reason some people have imaginary friends ( like Chris ) is because you don't have any friends and you feel alone in the world so therefore they create someone or something who will speak to you and tell you what you want to hear. In addition the parents cant see Lisa because they probably dont have a good imagination and they dont believe in imaginary friends because their too old. Lisa used to exist, but I now believe shes dead and thats the main reason the parents dont believe in her because their not able to see this ghostly child.

Jaws

Analyzing the scene I can tell it is very scary. One thing that can contribute to it being scary is the dark night back round the director portrays to show. You can also tell things are about to get scary when the girl is screaming and the boy isn't moving to go help her while she is being attacked in the dark by something no one can see. Also the fact that she is desperatly trying to save herself by clinging onto the buoy and she just gets ripped off of it. What's even more scary is when she disappears into the dark water and doesn't come back down.

Compare and Contrast

Night dance and 30 days of Halloween are similar in the fact they both torture people, but totally different in the way they do it. Night dance is a legendary horror that comes at Halloween to torture people, Micheal Mayer's is a serial killer, and many people die at once when ever he comes back. 30 nights of Halloween is a story in Alaska that, their are strange things happening on a cold night, and Vampires seem to be making their way to town.

Both stories represent the way people horrifically die in the hands of serial killers and Vampires. For instance in Night Dance Micheal Myers is a legendary serial killer that comes back every Halloween to torture and kill many people. Myers kills random people because he has problems. Unlike 30 days Halloween the vampires come out of no where and begin to attack people. The thing with Myers is that everyone knows his story, but with the vampires nobody knows what they are or what it is that they exactly want.

One thing both these graphic novels have in common is that both these novels contain violence that can be made to normal people by unwanted guest.

Jenifer is a Parasite !

Jenifer is clearly a parasite. For instance it shows that Jenifer preys on others and eats both people and animals, the first thing that showed Jenifer is a parasite is when she first attacks Jim's wife and bites her. When Jenifer took a bite of her arm it showed she was very hungry and obviously wasn't a creature from this world. Another incident was when Jenifer had eaten the kitten and then had thrown the body in boiling water. In addition the author showed this girl was a parasite because when Jim had sent that guy over to go ahead and kidnap her, when Jim came home and opened his refrigerator a mans body came out with a lot of his guts hung out and all you see is Jenifer behind him staring at him. In these three scenes the author was able to show that Jenifer in fact is a parasite that feeds on other organisms to satisfy her hunger. Jenifer basically lives off her host which is Jim in order to get her food. Close to the last scene a child goes missing and as soon as Jim comes to see this he immediately goes home to find that Jenifer is eating a child's insides and drinking his blood.  This was the last thing to convince me that Jenifer is a parasite that uses Jim as her host.

Jenifer is clearly a parasite. For instance it shows that Jenifer preys on others and eats both people and animals, the first thing that showed Jenifer is a parasite is when she first attacks Jim's wife and bites her. When Jenifer took a bite of her arm it showed she was very hungry and obviously wasn't a creature from this world, by doing this Jenifer shows shes a parasite that won't let anyone or anything stand in the way of her and Jim. Another incident was when Jenifer had eaten the kitten and then had thrown the body in boiling water, this showed that Jenifer is a parasite that will destroy anything that will try to harm her because the cat is a predator that is able to harm her, so she gets rid of him. In addition the author showed this girl was a parasite because when Jim had sent that guy over to go ahead and kidnap her, when Jim came home and opened his refrigerator a mans body came out with a lot of his guts hung out and all you see is Jenifer behind him staring at him because she knew Jim wouldn't say anything to her. Jenifer is able to be seen as a parasite because in the very beginning Jim states that " I should have known i was beginning to act irrationally " which means that through out the story Jenifer was able to get into Jim's mind and control everything that started to happen. Jenifer basically lives off her host which is Jim in order to get her food. Close to the last scene a child goes missing and as soon as Jim comes to see this he immediately goes home to find that Jenifer is eating a child's insides and drinking his blood, this scene is able to prove that Jenifer uses Jim to go ahead and get food, because she knows she has a house to go back too and eat her prey and she also knows Jim wont tell. This was the last thing to convince me that Jenifer is a parasite that uses Jim as her host. Jenifer stays with Jim because she needs him as her "host" because she needs to get her food but in the end when Jim is done hiding her and having many problems with her and wants to kill her Jenifer immediately causes an ironic twist to happen in the end. The same way that Jim saved Jenifer from the previous guy that was going to kill her, another random guy came and saved her when Jim was just about to get rid of her.

Isolation

The author shows how isolated Jim feels through out the story. He shows it first when Marge leaves Jim and Jim stares at her through out the window looking at her not even attempting to stop her because he knows he wont be able to stop her. He begins to shed tears and the whole back round behind him suddenly gets dark. The author made me feel as though Jim was isolated because he looked heart broken and all alone as he sat in front of that window and watched his family leave in a rainy gray day. In addition when Jenifer climbs into bed with Jim and Jim doesn't want her but she forces herself onto him. All of a sudden when she does that he author gives us a roof top view of how dark that room gets and how helpless Jim is and feels.

Jenifer smells like ...

I strongly believe that Jenifer smells like a decomposed body. She most likely smells like a body that was murdered and left on the side of the road for days. I bet she does smell like that because she eats human beings. She eats a lot of peoples insides and drink their blood too, after she eats she doesn't clean up after herself. Also Jenifer has eaten animals so she doesn't smell good.

Jenifer ...

First of all Jenifer is not cool, it's creepy ! -__-. Second Jim stayed with her because one nobody else would take her and two this 'girl' would give him the puppy eyes which made him feel bad. Also I believe Jim stays with her because Jim has no where to go at the time and he doesn't want his life to change. Jenifer stays with Jim because she is a monster and she doesn't know any better. Also these aren't relationships these are just poor men that get stuck with a monster they can't get rid of. They are together because she's just using him in order for her to get food. This 'girl' doesn't know right from wrong she's just concerned with getting food in her system and what is okay to her is a crime to society. I believe Jim also stays with her because of her body and he got very lonely after his family left him.
